Our Reporting and Analytic Solutions Offer the Most Comprehensive Set of Compliance and Security Features to Comply With the Requirements of the Regulation
West Vancouver, BC, Canada, (May 28, 2018) – WhistleBlower Security Inc. the Global 24/7/365 ethics hotline provider, today announced that its IntegrityCounts Ethics Reporting Services meet the requirement of the European Union’s new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The GDPR took effect on May 25, 2018 and replaced the existing Data Protection Directive (Directive 95/46/EC) which had been in force since 1995. It will significantly enhance the protection of EU citizen’s personal data, and increase the obligations on organisations who collect or process personal data.
The role of GDPR is to provide a set of standardized data protection laws across all EU member countries. It will make it easier for EU citizens to understand how their data is being used, as well as raise any concerns even if they are not in the country where their data is located.
“WhistleBlower Security is in the business of protecting its clients’ sensitive data,” said Shannon Walker, president of WhistleBlower Security. “We will continue to follow best practice privacy and security protocols to ensure the safety of our client’s data.”
